My Private Hero
Sunday, February 5th, 2006Ok first things first, if you are easily pissed off at people who give away even the smallest detail of a show: spoiler warning
So, 24 season 3 done and over with(that is, my own personal viewing of it). Again i come with the conclusion (as stolen from some site with that image): Jack Bauer: My Own Private Hero. As in all fake shows, he saves the day at the last possible moment. Then why do i like him? That’s the point: i don’t know. I don’t understand the obsession with this show. Yet i know Jack Bauer is awesome. It’s freakish. I’ve never had a more intriguing show ever. Now The Matrix, that made my jaw drop. It made my brain think. I mean, what if that is us? What if we are all a big battery source for freaky-looking robots and run by programs and french men?
Yes, 24 is more plausible, but only by a very slim margin. I don’t think we’ve quite mastered satellite imagery at a ground level yet..and no black president yet. And what’s more i really don’t think the day of the president is that crazy…
Well, from one Jack to another. Meet Jack Sheppard, a doctor and survivor of a plane crash in LOST. The jury’s still out on what i really think of lost, it pulls you in with that ere of mystery that Hollywood producers are paid the big bucks for. It’s very interesting. Jack is another own private hero in this show, perhaps a trait of the name Jack in Hollywood? Who knows? One things’ for certain: if 24 is minimally unrealistic, LOST takes the cake for being fairly unrealistic. A plane going 1,000 miles off course(grr how do you spell that version of course? I know that’s wrong) and 40 people surviving with a “security device: (that seems to be a robot) on an island with a loony french lady isn’t very likely. But hey, it’s TV why exactly does it have to be realistic?
Maybe that’s why I like these two shows so much: so incredibly insane yet realistic. So thank you John and all, and thank you Haley.
